I grew up dancing and interpreting the human story through movement. Now, I interpret user, customer, and business needs through orchestrating experiences.

I am a practiced product designer who has transitioned through front-end development and into design research, service design and design strategy. With over 14 years of experience, I have worked with clients ranging from small businesses and start-ups (Pet360, now Chewy.com) to large corporations in the pharmaceutical, HR, entertainment (Comcast), and financial (Vanguard, Barclaycard & Capital One) industries. I am passionate about untangling complex ecosystems to orchestrate experiences and build human-centered products, services, and strategies with cross-functional teams.

I received my Bachelors of Fine Art with a focus on Graphic and Interactive Design from Temple University Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I completed a Disruptive Strategy course through the Harvard Business School and received a UX Certification through the Nielsen Norman Group (NNg). I am also a Design Thinking facilitator of Capital One’s Product College.

Most recently, I am proud of my contributions to two major efforts. I drove the execution of the Strategic Servicing Vision that was presented by the C-Suite to the CEO of Capital One. And, I oversaw the qualitative research that drove a shift in re-evaluating overdraft policies within the Bank.

When not behind a computer screen I can be found taking long walks on the beach … and by the beach, I mean chasing my two kiddos and our golden-labradoodle around the sandbox in our backyard. My husband is a High School AP Physics teacher who coaches cross-country and is an avid runner himself. I too have taken an interest in running. I ran my first 5k in the fall of 2018, completed two more in the fall of 2019, 2020 started strong, crushed my mileage in 2021 and am looking forward to crushing my PR time in 2022. My nightstand is always stacked with books and my crochet hooks entwined mid-project with yarn.

WHAT MY COLLEAGUES ARE SAYING ABOUT ME

Beth is one of the most caring, intuitive and detailed people I have ever worked with, which gives her very strong tools for leading projects and teams.

Beth is a compassionate and thoughtful contributor to the overall team environment. She actively engages in other’s work to provide feedback, find connection points, and help strengthen work for all. She is fast to celebrate contributions and wins of her teammates. And she creates a feeling of belonging and camaraderie in the way she takes time to keep track of people’s milestones, favorite snacks, or when they might need a little boost. This inherent care for others makes her an ideal team lead – as you can ensure she will always have her team’s emotional health at front of mind.
— Design Manager

Beth has repeatedly stepped into the void with me — diving headfirst into complexity of organizational structure and people, visions and customer empathy research. I love having her as a partner because she’s incredibly adept at taking that complexity and mapping it out to tell a story that brings the pieces together in a compelling, thoughtful, and inspirational way. She has a wide aperture for things that she has worked on or adjacent to and pulls it in to add color and grounding in the work that she does.
— Product Partner
Beth consistently and proactively uses her design research expertise to champion research-backed customer experience vs. shooting from the hip/gut. This lends credibility to our work with product and tech partners and ensures the experiences we design will meet the needs of our customers. Beth is a ready and willing collaborator. She naturally and proactively connects dots between past/current work and the particular problem space.
